Tension Gage Hoof Testers

Hoof testers can be a very useful tool when used correctly, they can also be very harmful when used incorrectly. For this reason I am adding these well made hoof testers that incorporate a tension gage to our line of tools. The tension gage allows the user to apply consistent pressure from point to point and hoof to hoof, virtually eliminating any guess work. They are horse size and work well on hoof sizes from 000 to size 4. Every DEP student must have a pair of hoof testers to test out, and in our opinion this hoof tester is the best choice available.

The Back Jack Trimmer' Tool

This time tested tool came to me via an Arizona farrier. Upon hearing that I was running a school for trimmers, he suggested I give it a try. One horse and I was sold!  This tool makes it possible for virtually anyone to safely get under a horse for trimming. The shaft incorporates a spring, which keeps it planted firmly on the ground.
