Hello Robin,
Wow !!!! From the moment I read Module one of the on line course, I believed KC was amazing and extremely inspirational and was looking forward to meeting him in person. Well, I have just completed my first 5 day workshop in Hitchen, and yes KC is amazing and extremely inspirational. KC is also a warm and wonderful person. I feel lucky that in my life I have met and worked with some wonderful people and I feel so happy to add KC to the list. I also feel privileged to be one of his pupils. I would like to say a huge, huge thank you.
Warm Wishes
Take care
Tracy
Dear KC &
Robyn,
I recently attended your five day work shop at
Allentown, PA and I had to tell you what a positive experience it
was for me. Your complete knowledge and understanding of the equine hoof
structures, the horse, and the environment required for the benefit of the horse
amazed me. I was captivated by the professionalism, patience and wealth of
information which you both were kind enough to share with myself and the other
students. Thank you for feeding my mind and my heart for now I finally
understand through theory and application what equine podiatry is about. Your
passion for your craft has inspired me to become a full time student of equine
podiatry. I look forward to seeing you both again and continuing my journey on
this chosen road.
Sincere thanks,

WOW! Thank you so much for that astounding
March course, which everyone agreed was brilliant.

Is it what I expected? Oh yeah and then some!
I don't give kudos unless they are necessary but
KC is a phenomenal instructor and truly has a great deal of talent relaying the
necessary information to people and teaching them how to apply it. Some people
are blessed with the talent to instruct. Some are blessed with the ability to
physically teach. Very rarely have I had the privilege and honor of knowing
somebody that had both skills combined. Please if you would relay this message
to him, I understand how it feels to be swamped with tons of work and I will not
be another dagger in his side. After all, this is just the beginning of hats to
come from me I have high expectations for myself as KC does for us and I will
represent the many years of hard days and nights sweating and bleeding to
achieve what he thought would be a dream that has now become reality. My sights
are set on a newly respected person as well as instructor that I could only say
I have had the privilege to know and learn from. With every breath of knowledge
that comes from his mouth I listen from the distance not because I must, I just
choose too, this based on the amount of respect he deserves and that every word
mumbled out of his mouth might be something more I could learn. Lastly, I would
like to say, that It has been years since I smiled in the line of my profession
and I have seen the light for the first time in a long time. I left that 5 day
course in St. Leonard confused because I wasn't ready to go home. As I pulled
out of the farm I paused for a second watching the horses we trimmed and the
white foundered Arabian KC trimmed running and playing across the pasture like
they were the happiest 4 year old horses in the world. At that moment I truly
understood what the final results of Applied Equine Podiatry was all about, "Do
No Harm" and in fact reversing that and giving them happiness. There balance
look to me to be as well mentally as it was physically. I have KC to thank for
that feeling and he truly is an inspiration to those of us that care to make a
difference and not a pay check.
Sincerely thanks for your support and I look
forward to meeting you in the future!
KC Thanks for all your efforts your work truly is
a reflection of your character!

Good Afternoon Dr. La Pierre:
Your kindness in addressing my concerns is again
very much appreciated. In large measure it has convinced me that you have
embarked on a sound approach to proper management of the horses hoof and health.
I thank you again for your valuable work.

On Clean Trax
Our horses
have all got fantastic feet by the way!! I finally Clean Traxed Jaguar and his
feet are about 500% better already. We had them all in for the afternoon
yesterday and their feet looked like the ones we saw in Colorado (the good
ones!!)!!!

Hello KC
I wanted
to let you know that the hour in Clean Trax made a huge difference!
Khari was
trotting yesterday - his idea! - in his paddock and last evening he galloped the
fence line with his neighbor horse! A gimpy gallop but obviously, he is
feeling so much better. Two weeks of irrigating, antibiotics, soaking and
poulticing, with him always feeling a little better after and always being
3-legged, lying down lame the next morning. The Clean Trax was finally the
thing that knocked the infection down enough to keep him from worsening over
night again.

Hi KC;
I am a friend of Jill Bailey's and she is
the one that THANKFULLY got me into studying your material.
Every summer my horse Player was tender
footed. Sharing your material with my farrier he encouraged me to take
over trimming Player myself and using your techniques to see what we
could accomplish. This year after trimming with your info since last
August he is a surefooted happy camper!!

represent us in a professional and positive way.
Dear KC & Robyn
I know we say this over and over KC, but
AEP is truly awesome. These people about flipped over one trim on their
horses. We also remained very professional and careful how we worded things.
We made it very clear we were not there to teach anyone to trim; we were there
to lecture about AEP principals and theory, educate owners about the structure
and care of the foot and then apply the method to horses. We were able to put
the farrier and vet at ease by our demeanor and respectful attitudes. In fact,
we received many comments as such how we were very inoffensive and positive, all
of this because of the time and effort that you have all put out in behalf of
the horse.
There was a man waiting when we got to Cris
Anns from the airport. We were told he was died-in-the-wool cowboy/shoeing
guy. I asked why he brought the mule then. Well, he just wanted to see what we
thought. So here comes this poor poor mule whose feet hurt to even stand in his
shoes. The farrier was putting on shoes and squeezing them together - M/L so
that he had these long skinny feet. So right out of the gate I looked at this
man and everyone there and said, "ok, here's the deal; we don't beat around the
bush, we tell you exactly what shape the feet are in, qualify the structures and
recommend what you need to do to get a better foot under your animal. He said he
was willing to listen to what we have to say. The mule was lame, non rideable.
Julie and I looked him over and told him that if he did not stop what was being
done right now, one day he'd come out and the poor mule would probably not be
able to even stand. Let alone ever ride him again. We pointed out all the
issues. We explained how their was no way to do any 'rehab' with a shoe with
this poor mule. Get the shoes off, apply the HPT method and give this mule
TIME. How much can a foot come back? We explained we did not really know just
how sound this mule could ever become. But time and AEP was the only thing left
he had. I said I'd get those shoes off, balance the feet and turn him out. In
time, begin ground work, in hand work, etc. I told him I had no idea how
rideable the mule would ever be. But if he wanted him around for long, he best
do something. I think we shocked him. We did tell him we would not pull the
shoes that it would be irresponsible of us to do so and then leave.
He showed back up Sunday morning before we left
and he had pulled the shoes!!! He asked that we please balance him the best we
could. That he would not put shoes back on him and that in fact he seemed a bit
more comfortable just getting the shoes off! The farrier was also dubbing the
toes on both mules! Before we left, he and his wife approached and this die
hard shoeing cowboy shook my hand and said "I want to thank you so much for
everything, we'll do what you say and I truly believe you saved my mules life".
One other cool thing that happened, one of the
horses brought had been shod for 10 years but the owner pulled shoes in Oct and
has been trying to trim himself. He said she has been lame off and on since
pulling shoes with digital pulses. She had pulses that we accessed at about a
2.
Julie trimmed this mare and she seemed much
more comfortable right away. The next day we were having lunch right before we
had to leave and he came over to Cris Annes to tell us the mare did not have
pulses today and was stall moving a lot more comfortably. This guy said he
would be very interested in going the full course and becoming a DEP!
We received a positive response from every
person that came. Even ones that were not sure in the beginning totally came
around. Julie and I received comments from grown men and women such as, "You
are just what we have been looking and searching for, we can't thank you
enough".
There was hand shaking and hugging and even
some tears from some who were just completely overwhelmed by how their horses
were responding with obvious relief almost saying "it's about time!" It
was very humbling to see how there is such a serious need in so many places.
Sincerely,
Julie DEP & Melissa DEP
