KC Brand Hoof Knife

This isn't just another look alike. No sir, the "KC Brand Knife" is an improved design over that of  "The Knife". The KC Knife has uses high grade stainless steel, that holds a edge like no other blade on the market. The blade has been designed with a thinner back strap and a more complete and finer hollow grind to the edge. What this means is that the KC Knife cuts smoother and stays sharper longer. The handle has been shape to encourage correct hand placement, for better control. The SoleMates Tru-Comfort Hoof Stand

This is the by far the coolest hoof stand ever made! I have put twenty years of experience into designing this one. Made of light weight aluminum, with a closed cell foam base, this stand is quite, light, and ultra stable. Easily adjusts to the desired height for doing flare or trimming the sole. It comes with a unique foam cradle that hugs the hoof, reducing vibration while rasping. The foam base allows the stand to be stable over a wide range of surfaces.  The foam cradle will not dull the rasp and is easily replaced. This is the ultimate stand! Work smarter, not harder!     KC

The Calf Caddy by KC

This versatile tool caddy came out of sheer necessity. While teaching, KC would often have several horses being worked on at once. As he moved from horse to horse he found it increasingly difficult to carry his regular farrier's tool box with him. He seldom needed more than a rasp, knife and hoof pick. So he decided to have the calf caddy made. It is made of strong harness leather and has a adjustable Velcro closer. It holds a rasp, and two knives, or a knife and hoof pick. There is also enough room between your leg and the caddy to place hoof tester, pullers or nippers. Our students and graduates all say the same thing: "Once your use the Calf Caddy, you will wonder how you got along with out it."
